The 3rd annual QOV-Kansas Retreat is almost here! The committee is gathering door prizes and searching for a guest speakers. But we have the pertinent information ready.

Here is what you need to know: 

Our retreat this year will be held at Henderson House Inn and Retreat Center in Stafford, KS. We can check in at 3 pm on Friday, March 19th. The house we currently have reserved has 12 beds available. There are 2 or 3 twin beds in each room upstairs. There is one handicap accessible room on the first floor, which has a kind size bed. There are private rooms available if you stay in one of the other houses. However, the price goes up with a private room. (If you need info on a private room, please contact me for details.) Each of the rooms has a private full bathroom. We check out at 5 pm on Sunday, March 21st. Stafford is only approximately 1.5 hours northwest of Wichita.

 
Friday night we will have games to play. As always we will have our super fun "strip poker" game. Don't worry, there will be no shedding of clothes... you play poker and bet with pre-cut strips of fabric instead of chips. We will also have Quiltopoly available this year.

 Saturday we will be taking a field trip to Alden, KS to the  fantastic quilt shop there! You won't want to miss the fun.

 
We will also be having some wonderful door prizes throughout the day on Saturday. Everyone who attends automatically gets one entry into the door prizes. But if you really want those prizes, there are ways to swing the vote in your favor. Just like last year, we are going to give extra tickets for donations to QOV. If you bring a roll of batting for QOV, that gets you two tickets. A two pack of high thread count red, white, blue, or beige standard size pillowcases (plain, so we can embroider them) gets you one extra ticket. A prepared binding in a red or blue print, gets you another two tickets.

The cost of the retreat is as follows:

Full weekend attendance is $135.This includes all three meals on Saturday, plus breakfast and lunch on Sunday. And a new QOV t-shirt! Saturday only attendance is $37. This includes lunch and dinner.
Sunday only attendance is $30 and includes lunch only.

**Payment and registration forms are due by February 13th.
