Wish we had some lemonaid and trailmix
about now...
Running
to the sink to wash your hands before eating lunch,opening the
fridge to a selection of more than bottled water, eating your chocolate
dessert in the air conditioning without fear of it melting, not needing
sunscreen in November, an endless supply of toilet paper, toothpaste,
and fresh razors. All of these things we take for granted. But these
items are much needed and hard to come by for the men and women serving
in the middle east.
We
are asking everyone to bring an item (or more!)
from the following
list of approved items, to the Bee with you. There will be a box to
place your items in to collectively send a care
package to the men and women "down range."
We
will use the standard flat rate shipping boxes so there are no
surprises in shipping costs. And we will have a jar next to our Care
Package box for putting in a small donation towards shipping. The
following is a list of approved items we can ship to our unit.

Food Items:
Instant Coffe & Powdered Drink Mixes
(Gaterade, Kool-Aid, Crystal Light Tea & Lemonade, etc)
Sweetner & sugar packages
Tea Bags
Slim Jims, Beef Jerky, Summer Sausage
Crackers
Jiffy single serving peanut butter cups
Individual packages of chips (Pringles &
other canned chips work best!) cookies, and other snacks (i.e. Rice
Krispy Treats, Chex Mix, Dried Fruit, Trail Mix, etc)
Hard Candy and gum
Kraft Easy Mac
Microwave popcorn
Granola Bars, Power Bars, Breakfast Bars, etc
Cup-A-Noodles (the kind you just open and add hot
water to)
Oatmeal
Little Condiments (spices, mustard, ketchup,
mayonnaise, salt, pepper, hot sauce, salad dressing, etc)

Clorox Handi-wipes
Baby Wipes
Shower Supplies (shampoo, conditioner, soap/body
wash, etc)
Dental Hygene Products (mouthwash, dental floss,
toothbrushes, toothpaste)
Deoderant
Disposable Razors
Feminine Hygiene products (beleive it or not, the
men use liners as sweat absorbers inside their helmets and kevlar!)
Socks and T-shirts (white)
Washclothes
Eye drops, contact lens cleaner
Chapstick/Lip balm
Sun Block (the sport stuff that doesn't sweat off
too easily)
Lotion
Hydrocortizone Cream/ Anti-itch Cream
Baby powder/ foot powder
